Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AB Labs, a trading name of Tapas Mahanta, an individual based in India ("Sahas", "we", "us") for your use of the Sahas app and website. By downloading or using Sahas, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Sahas.
2. Apple's standard license (EULA)
Sahas is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA controls to the extent required by Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Sahas or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
3. Medical and health disclaimer
Sahas isn't medical advice. Sahas is designed to help people stay active. It provides general fitness and nutrition information. It doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it isn't a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified professional. The in-app health questions and safety settings make plans more cautious; they aren't a medical assessment.
- Consult your doctor before starting any exercise or nutrition program, especially if you have a heart condition or chest pain, high blood pressure, diabetes, a bone or joint problem, asthma or another breathing condition, dizziness or fainting, recent surgery or injury, are pregnant or recently gave birth, or haven't exercised recently.
- Medication: if you take medication for blood pressure, diabetes or any other condition, speak to your doctor before changing your exercise or diet.
- Stop immediately if you feel chest pain, severe breathlessness, dizziness, or unusual pain. If symptoms are severe or don't settle with rest, call emergency services (112 in India) right away.
- Nutrition: calorie and diet suggestions are estimates for healthy adults, from standard formulas and approximate food values. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, are pregnant, or take medication, consult your doctor or a registered dietitian before changing your diet. Don't rely on Sahas for medical nutrition therapy, eating disorder treatment or managing a medical condition.
- AI coach: any AI coach suggestions are general guidance generated automatically, may be wrong, and don't know your medical history. Workouts it proposes still come from the Sahas workout engine.
- You're responsible for exercising safely: warm up, use proper form, choose weights within your ability, use equipment correctly and train in a safe space.
You use Sahas and perform any exercise at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Sahas isn't liable for any injury or health problem resulting from your use of the app.
4. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sahas. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may use Sahas only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Plans for users under 18 focus on technique and bodyweight skills, without max-effort lifting; plans for adults aged 65 and over are low-impact, with balance and mobility work.
4a. Health information you share
If you answer the in-app health questions, your answers stay on your device, encrypted. They're used only to make your plan more cautious, are never used for advertising, are never sold or shared, and are never sent to the AI coach unless you explicitly turn that on. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Sahas Pro subscription
Sahas is free to download and use. Sahas Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly, that unlocks additional content in the app. The features included are described in the app at the time of purchase.
- Payment: the price is shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trials: if a free trial is offered, it is shown before you buy. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling: manage or cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or in the App Store app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Sahas Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Price changes: if the price changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before you're charged the new price.
- Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases.
- Restoring: use Restore Purchases in the app (on the Sahas Pro screen or in Profile) with the same Apple ID to restore an active subscription on a new or reinstalled device.
6. Your data
Your data is stored on your device, as explained in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for your device and its backups. If you delete the app or reset app data, your data is erased and we can't recover it.
7. Acceptable use
Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute or resell Sahas or its content, or use it in any unlawful way, except as the law expressly permits.
8. Intellectual property
Sahas, including its workout programs, exercise library, muscle map artwork, food database, design and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't give you any ownership rights.
9. Changes to the app and these Terms
We may update, change or discontinue features of Sahas. We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and we'll tell you in the app when a change is material. Continuing to use Sahas after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sahas is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Sahas is limited to the amount you paid for Sahas Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules, subject to any mandatory consumer protections where you live. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
